Kennedyville, Maryland

Village Master Plan

"The detail and overall quality of this village master plan is excellent, and the County is congratulated for producing fine work."

-- Maryland Department of Planning, July 2007

The Kennedyville Village Master Plan is being developed to guide future growth and development in Kennedyville, and to address land use, housing, open space, transportation, and community facilities needs.   Public participation has been an integral part of the planning process for the project.  Two public workshops were held to identify and discuss community values and alternative futures.   A third public workshop was held in November of 2006 to review the final draft of the Kennedyville Village Master Plan.

The draft Plan is now being reviewed by various State agencies as prescribed in Article 66B of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Following State review, the Planning Commission will hold a hearing and forward a recommendation to the County Commissioners, who will make the final decision on adopting the Plan as an amendment to the County's Comprehensive Plan.
